On Saturday night, MOSI hosted their 18th annual Einstein on Food & Wine event (presented by ABC Fine Wine and Spirits), and I was lucky enough to be in attendance! Einstein on Food & Wine is a celebration of the senses, featuring wine and food tastings from the grater Tampa Bay area. It is a huge fundraising event for MOSI, and they really pulled out the stops when it came to the evening! There was so much to see and so much to taste!
So, in yesterday’s post about The Lime, I might have mentioned something about a giveaway. Never fear! What I promise, I deliver.
The Lime is about to unveil a brand new name for the restaurant. Not that The Lime is a bad name…but unfortunately it was trademarked by a major company and their hands are now tied. But: they did not let it get them down! The folks at The Lime enlisted fans of the restaurant to submit suggestions for a new name, and they are having a party on New Year’s Eve to reveal the new moniker!!! Sounds fun, right?
The party starts at 9pm: they will have no cover charge, $4 tequila shots, $100 bottles of 1800 tequila, free appetizers, and a DJ will be playing music.
And to sweeten the deal, a lucky Tampa area reader of mine can pick up a 1 liter bottle of Ultimat Vodka as a prize (provided by The Lime)! You don’t necessarily have to be at the party to win (although it should be a blast and you should RSVP on their Facebook event page), but you do need to be over 21 and from the Tampa area to be a winner, since you’ll be picking up your vodka at The Lime (soon to be….????).
Annnnd to sweeten the deal EVEN MORE, my lovely friend Megan from I Run For Wine has ANOTHER bottle of Ultimat Vodka that she is giving away on her site! Do you know what that means? Two bottles are up for grabs! Two chances to win! You’re welcome. Just promise me you’ll have a cocktail in my honor.
So, let’s get you entered, shall we? The process is easy – use the Rafflecopter widget below! If you’re confused on how to use Rafflecopter, here’s a quick video tutorial! And if you have Twitter, make sure to tweet – I’m giving you 4 entries for each day that you do so – let’s get the word out about #newyearnewname!

Last week, Justin and I had the pleasure of experiencing some awesome Mexican cuisine at The Lime in Tampa.
If you aren’t familiar with The Lime, it is part of the Ciccio Restaurant Group (remember when we visited Ciccio’s/Water earlier this year?). I tell you – this group has quite a great list of restaurants: I’ve been impressed with both locations we’ve tried so far, and I know we’ll be putting Daily Eats and The Lodge on our list of places to try soon!
Anyway – back to The Lime! If you’re looking for a restaurant with some attitude, the decor in The Lime fits the bill.
I loved the decor, from the lanterns hanging from the ceiling to the bright paint colors (and murals) on the walls. Once the menu was presented to us, it was hard to decide where to start.
Last week, I was lucky enough to experience an awesome night of food and wine at a fabulous Tampa area establishment. Napa Flair is an amazing wine store in the Westchase area. The owner, LuAnn, is not only passionate and knowledgeable about wine (she has an Advanced Certified Wine Professional degree from the Culinary Institute of America – she knows her stuff!), but definitely has a love of introducing her customers to new varieties and helping them explore wine to the fullest. You have GOT to love that!
Napa Flair itself is absolutely beautiful – from the long, sturdy tasting bar where you can sip and chat to the rows of shelves with wine bottles beautifully displayed. Walking through Napa Flair was a little bit of wine wonderland for me!
