It is no secret that I absolutely love ice cream. I eat a small scoop of frozen yogurt pretty much every night for dessert…and I jump at any opportunity to visit Dairy Queen or our local “you say when” yogurt shop. Heck, I even love a plain vanilla cone from McDonald’s off of the Dollar Menu (it’s the only thing I ever go there for).

Apparently Lucia has adopted the same penchant for frozen treats. (P.S. – did you know that if you have your pup with you at Dairy Queen they will give him/her a small cup of ice cream? They call it a “pup cup,” and it is free!) My girl knows what’s good…

 Look at her…eyeing the prize…trying to look extra cute and hoping that I’ll be generous…

 The problem here is that I really love a good ice cream cone, and I don’t like to share. How selfish of me…

 But you know what? I can’t resist that little face. Darn her! I caved and let her have the bottom bite of my cone. Aren’t I nice?

The holidays are proving to be a busy time for me, so posting has been/will be light for the next few days or so.

However, I wanted to ask for everyone out there to send some sweet thoughts and prayers to our little Stuart. When he was at the groomer last week, they discovered he has a hernia on his underbelly. To fix it, he has to have surgery.

Hopefully everything will go smoothly. But you see, he’s actually going through THREE procedures today. My parents have decided that instead of just fixing the hernia, he’s also going to get neutered (for some reason my parents haven’t ever done that)…AND have his teeth deep cleaned. Triple whammy. I’ll be seeing him later this evening…so hopefully he’ll be all fixed up (and perhaps a bit drugged….with a cone on his head)!

So, if you don’t mind…send some healthy and happy thoughts and prayers to our little long man today…he’s going to need them! Poor buddy…

When we packed for our trip to Ixtapa, I had to dig out my cowboy boots so I could go horseback riding in them. I purchased them back in college for one of my sorority’s crush parties (with a Western theme). Isn’t it funny how some articles of clothing/accessories can sit in your closet for a long period of time, and all it takes is one event to inspire them back into regular rotation?

I thought I’d pair my boots with a sweet sundress and cardigan…
