Have you noticed the sun shining a lot lately? As the days grow longer and the rays start getting stronger, it is time to make sure you have a good pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes!
Now, when it comes to saving versus splurging, sunglasses are one of the areas where I do splurge a bit. Protecting my eyes is so important, so buying a quality pair of shades is essential to wear when I leave my home. I know a lot of people argue that they sit on their sunglasses and break them so they shouldn’t buy expensive sunglasses. However, trust me: if you buy a nice pair…you’ll make sure you take care of them. At least, in my case, I know that is true. I’ve invested in a few pairs of “higher end” sunglasses and they are all still in use up to 6 years later. I never leave my sunglasses out on the counter or in my car seat. They come off of my head and straight into their sunglasses case (which you definitely should have for your sunglasses, by the way). I’ve yet to break a pair of mine. Also – that doesn’t mean I don’t have pairs of less expensive sunglasses. I always have a pair on hand to wear to the beach – I don’t want my nice sunglasses to get sand on them!
Today, I thought I’d round up a collection of sunglasses in all shapes, styles, and colors! From cat eye, to retro, to striped, to tortoise…there are a lot to pick from! And they come in all price points as well…you don’t have to splurge on an expensive pair if you don’t want to (even though I suggest you save your pennies for a nice pair)!

I’m not over my love for eyelet yet. Would you believe it…the dress I showed you yesterday is not the only one I added to my closet this season. Yep – I picked up another dress in periwinkle at T.J. Maxx a few days ago. I can’t help myself: I love the feminine touch of eyelet in an outfit!
Anyway, today I thought I’d round up an array of eyelet options (affordable, of course). From tops, to tanks, to dresses, shorts, and skirts, I’ve got you covered! Which would you choose?

It’s undeniable: beach and pool season is almost upon us! Well, if you live in Florida like I do, it IS already here. The temperatures are already in the 80s and creeping toward 90 each and every day.
I have to admit – I used to think that one piece bathing suits were for “older individuals,” if you will. I dreaded the day I’d be shopping for one. Perhaps there has been a change in me, or perhaps it is just because the makers of bathing suits have realized their potential…but I have been absolutely amazed with the adorable one piece options available! They can be cute, they can be flattering, and they can even be sexy (plunging necklines, anyone?). I actually find myself liking them more than the bikini options I see. From floral, to graphic prints, to polka dots, to solids…there are so many to choose from. I don’t know if I can pick one favorite from the bunch…perhaps #2 or #20. Which would you choose?
It’s official: I can’t get enough of simple black and white! Pants, shirts, skirts, dresses…you name it: I want it. The classic color combination is all over my radar, and today I wanted to round up some really great affordable finds in black and white. I’m sure you’ll be able to find a favorite among them…
