From summer to fall: the lace dress
The ability to transition a piece of clothing in your wardrobe between seasons is always a big plus when it comes to saving money. Versatility, my friends! As the summer begins to wind down in the next few weeks, I thought I’d show a few examples of how I would transition some summer pieces into fall. I’m starting with a pretty little lace dress. The coral hue has been perfect for summer! Add a pair of fringed booties and a sassy necklace and you’re pretty much good to go for the warm weather:
Coral crochet lace dress: $44.50 – dELiA*s // Perchin’ Place or Thing Necklace: $19.99 – ModCloth // Rooftop Album Release Clutch: $37.99 – ModCloth // Sam Edelman Louie: $160 – Zappos
But how would I transition this pretty little dress to the fall? I decided to go from a more “boho” vibe from the summer look to a somewhat more Western theme for the fall. Adding a denim/chambray shirt can keep you warmer in autumn, and sporting a pair of tall boots will ensure your legs don’t get chilly. The same dress: two different seasons!
Coral crochet lace dress: $44.50 dELiA*s // Kenneth Cole New York Urban Mesh Studded Pendant Necklace: $48 – Piperlime // Lightweight denim shirt: $39.50 – dELiA*s // Reelive tall boot: $189.95 – Steve Madden // ALDO Strazzullo: $50 – Zappos
So – which outfit do you like? How do you like to transition pieces from summer to fall?
