My style: a sassy LOFT shirt dress and a statement necklace
Oh, Ann Taylor LOFT, you’ve done it again. You have gone and stolen my heart with yet another awesome dress.
I want to shout it from the rooftops: I am IN LOVE with this shirt dress!
This was one of those dresses that I looked at on the hanger and initially passed over. I’ll be honest: it just looked like a big, oversized button down shirt. There wasn’t a belt attached or any sort of tie at the waist like I’ve become accustomed to seeing with these types of frocks. But then I started thinking about it: why wouldn’t I want a dress that is loose and comfortable? Why the heck not? So, it accompanied me to the dressing room…and then home to my closet. I love that I can wear it as pictured today, or belt it for a more structured style.

*Sigh*…this silver necklace from Ann Taylor is so wonderful. I love the bold statement it makes while still staying traditional and classic with silver tones. The layering effect of the “petals” is so interesting! It seemed the perfect match for this shirt dress, if I do say so myself. The entire ensemble kept me feeling put together, but still allowed for a great deal of comfort – that’s my kind of outfit!
