Equestrian style

I love boots. Unfortunately, when you live in Florida there aren’t as many opportunities to wear them as there would be in colder climates. So, when the temperatures dropped recently, I had to take advantage…
When it comes to a knee high boot like these, slim fit pants are a must. In that case, balance/proportion is always a consideration. Pairing the more snug fitting bottoms with blousy chiffon top keeps the look modest and daytime appropriate.
I found these riding pants at GAP recently for quite a steal: I love the equestrian look. The suede panels take me back to the days when I actually did take riding lessons…until my horse threw me during one of them. I know they say to get back up on the horse, but I was a little bit scared after that and had to take a break. However, the fear has subsided over time, so that is good! Justin and I recently bought a deal for a local stable for some riding time; I’m looking forward to scheduling it!

Are you a fan of boots? What is your favorite way to wear them?

Love this look! I like wearing boots with tights and skirts during these winter months in DC. It’s a great way to stay warm AND chic.
LOVE this outfit! And I’m a huge boot fan – I wear them every chance I get!
Hehe, you do not look like you’re wearing “shrek boots”! I’ll try the billowy top trick!
Waaaaaaah, how will I ever live in Florida if I can’t wear my boots? I LOVE wearing boots!
Pretty gal! Simple and chic from head to toe.
I love those boots! And I can’t believe how cold it was in Florida last week!
