Last week, my buddy Claire wrote her 7 links post and nominated me to write me own. Yay – I have been loving these posts lately, especially from blogs that I haven’t been reading for a long time, since it gives me the opportunity to go back and see some content I might not have read before! So, without further ado, my 7 links (well – 10 links, because I had a hard time picking just one for a few of these categories. Please don’t hate me):

Most Beautiful

Love is: the beach

My favorite place in the world…with my favorite person and furbaby…

Florida State Fair: The Pigs

Piglets…only a few days old. Need I say more???

Most Popular

Embracing my inner geek

Apparently a LOT of people are looking for geek chic glasses, because this is easily my most searched, most viewed post. Who knew? Nerds unite!!!

Most Controversial

Skinny girls have feelings too!

I don’t know that I can say that this post created controversy, but I was worried it had the potential to. I went back and forth over whether or not to post this one, but I’m glad I did…because skinny girls do have feelings too! Just saying.

Most Helpful – I think there’s a tie on this one, actually…

A Clever Way to Wrap a Wine Bottle

I love giving bottles of wine as gifts, but I always have a hard time figuring out how to wrap them (other than the typical wine bag). I was so proud of myself when I figured out how to wrap a wine bottle with a dishtowel!

How to cook a spaghetti squash

When I started cooking spaghetti squash on a regular basis, I can’t tell you how many people started asking me how to cook one! If you’re wondering how to do it, here’s my step by step tutorial!

A Post Whose Success Surprised Me: again, I had to pick two…sorry…

Banana Boats

I was (mistakenly) under the impression that just about everyone has made banana boats! I made them at summer camp. I didn’t realize that I’d be introducing so many of you to a new and easy taste treat!

A Sexy Dress Dilemma

I was hemming and hawing over a pretty blue dress I bought, and I was shocked at the amount of input people had over it! Thank you thank you to all who put in their two cents. I did keep it, by the way…

The Post I Feel Didn’t Get the Attention it Deserved

Wedding in the Desert: Ladies Getting Lovely

I realize that this post probably ended up getting skipped over by many people because it contained personal photos from my friend’s wedding in April…but I do think this one didn’t get enough attention. It’s vain, I know. Anyway – I’m no pro photographer, but I have been trying my hardest to work on my photography skills. Since K’s wedding photographer wasn’t arriving until the afternoon, I spent the morning taking photos of the beautification process, and I am quite proud at how they turned out!

The Post I’m Most Proud Of

Owning my beauty

I’m a girly girl at heart, and I constantly feel the pressure of society/media to wear makeup, style my hair, and the like. This post featured my thoughts on the matter, as well as a series of photos of me…without makeup. I loved hearing everyone’s opinions on the issue as well!

So – there you have it!

Have you written a “7 links” post? Feel free to link it here. And, if you haven’t – here is my official invitation to do so!

    I’m drafting mine now!

  3. I loved reading through this since I am a new follower of your blog! It was fun exploring your posts, and I really can’t wait to use your spaghetti squash post. I’ve made it a few times before, but I’m always reluctant and scared when contemplating whether to get it at the grocery store!
I also liked your skinny girl post. I get so offended by some comments I get. Especially everytime someone sees me eating at work I get an awkward comment. “you’re lucky you can eat that.” um what does that mean? I take care of my body, but I like cookies too. or “rabbit food again?” It’s not my whole lunch, its just an afternoon snack. I always have to be on the defensive. It makes me want to hide and eat sometimes.

Mila – I totally agree (re: the skinny girls have feelings post). It is so easy for people to make those kinds of comments to a thin person, I think!
