#OperationLayla Bake Sale!
At this point, I’m sure you’ve heard about #OperationLayla. And, if you haven’t, head on over to the website to read more about this amazing lady and the money that was/is being donated in her honor! As of now (in such an incredibly short time), the goal has been reached for Layla’s surgery, but each penny extra that is collected is going to be donated to Layla’s pre-op/post-op, and any other doctor’s visits surrounding the surgery. After that, extra money raised from the sale will be donated to a charitable cause, which is TBA.
The fabulous women who put together #OperationLayla are holding an online bake sale auction on Wednesday, and I am so very excited to participate! I’ll be posting more details soon with a link to the sale, but know that each bake sale item will start with a bid of $15; you can donate to a good cause AND get delicious treats in return! YUM!
***Edit: I’ve had a few questions regarding the start of the sale: from what I understand, the photos/description of the baked goods will be going up on Monday the 14th. You can browse the options until Wednesday, when the sale goes live and you are able to make your bids through the evening.***
Just so you know…this is what I will be contributing…
Mmm chocolate covered pretzels, anyone? I’ll be whipping up an assortment of chocolate covered pretzels with different toppings: Oreos, nuts, chocolate drizzle, sprinkles, and the like! Salty and sweet, one of my favorite combinations!
So, get your credit cards ready for Monday’s auction!
